A Miner’s Luck will follow one of them to Bolivia, in search of something that looks like mining from his youth – a world in which hundreds of small mines nurture the ingenuity of thousands of hardworking miners. The epicenter of “Latin America’s turn to the left” seems a strange place to look for America’s roots. But in the small towns and mining centers of Bolivia, he finds families and communities with striking similarities to the mines he remembers from his youth.
